Galina Kiryushina získala doktorát z anglistiky na Univerzitě Karlově v Praze, kde také pracovala jako odborná asistentka na katedře anglofonních literatur a kultur.

Ve svých nejnovějších publikacích zkoumala filmový a televizní odkaz v díle Samuela Becketta se zaměřením na jeho pozdní prózu. Její práce se objevily v akademických časopisech a sbírkách esejů, mj. Samuel Beckett dnes/Aujourd'hui... Journal of Beckett Studies, Beckett a modernismus (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018) a Samuel Beckett a technologie (Edinburgh UP, 2021), kterou vydala společně s Einat Adar a Markem Nixonem. Její současný výzkum se zaměřuje na Beckettovu spolupráci, zejména s německým televizním vysíláním Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR/SWR).

Floriánová získala magisterský titul v oboru učitelství českého jazyka a umění na Univerzitě Karlově v roce 1995.

Od roku 1995 se Floriánová specializuje na výuku češtiny pro cizince v jazykové škole Calix a soukromě pro mezinárodní společnosti jako Air, Honda, Vodafone a Webnode.

Kromě toho od roku 1999 vyučuje češtinu na Newyorské univerzitě v Praze a od roku 2014 na Ústavu jazykové a odborné přípravy Univerzity Karlovy a pracuje pro CIEE a University Studies Abroad Consortium na jejich zahraničních studijních programech pro Američany.

Mohamed Badredine Tachouche (Badr) is a researcher, lecturer, writer, and vocalist. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Islamic Studies in the Department of Middle Eastern and African Studies, Faculty of Arts, at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic, where he collaborates with anthropologists as an expert in Islamic history and theology. He is also a Research Fellow with the Islam and Liberty Network in Malaysia, where his work explores Islamic legal thought from interdisciplinary perspectives, including its historical genealogy across the Mediterranean and contemporary debates on its challenges and reform.

He holds a Ph.D. in Humanities, specializing in History and Heritage: Islamic Studies, from the University of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah in Morocco, as well as an M.A. and a B.A. in the Foundations of Islamic Jurisprudence and a Baccalaureate in Literature and Foreign Languages, with a focus on French and English. His academic education has been complemented by traditional studies at madrasas in Algeria and Morocco, including at the historic Al-Qarawiyyin University in Fez. He has also taught dozens of classical texts in Arabic and Islamic literature, poetry, theology, and history. His academic formation includes visits to institutions in Turkey, Mauritania, and Tunisia, and he holds several Ijāzāt, or teaching licenses with authenticated chains of transmission, in classical Islamic texts.

At Anglo-American University, he teaches Composition 101 and 102 and contributes to academic events and activities related to history and philosophy.

Badr has presented his research at the University of Exeter, the University of Toronto, the University of Sarajevo, Université de Limoges in France, Charles University in Prague, including the Protestant Theological Faculty, the Czech Academy of Sciences, Al-Azhar University, the European Academy of Religion, and other academic institutions and international forums. He has also presented at the Abu Dhabi Book Fair in the United Arab Emirates, the African Peace Conference in Nouakchott, Mauritania, and cultural and artistic events, including the Animator Film Festival in Poland, the Manchester Immigration Exhibition, and the ICICH/ICOMOS Symposium in Italy.

His research focuses on Islamic intellectual history, Islamic jurisprudence and legal thought, traditional Islamic education and madrasa pedagogy, the preservation and resilience of material and intangible cultures, religious groups, radicalism and ideological polarization, and Sufi and Andalusian cultural and artistic traditions. His work connects classical Islamic scholarship and textual traditions with contemporary questions of education, pluralism, freedom, and religious thought.

Alongside his academic work, he has presented on Andalusian and Sufi music and performed in Arabic, Berber, French, Turkish, and Hebrew at international concerts and workshops. He has written and hosted television and web programs and documentaries and has contributed to cultural and artistic projects. In his free time, he enjoys playing classical instruments, editing medieval manuscripts, and watching Depuis Quand a J’irai Dormir Chez Vous!.

Adar získala doktorát v oboru anglofonní literatury a kultury na Karlově univerzitě, kde se ve své disertační práci zabývala celoživotním vztahem Samuela Becketta k filozofii George Berkeleyho.

Adarovo dílo bylo publikováno ve sbírkách esejů Šibeniční humor (2020) a Překlady Samuela Becketta ve světě (2021), jakož i časopisy Částečné odpovědi a Estudios Irlandeses. Spolu s Galinou Kiryushinou a Markem Nixonem je také spolueditorkou knihy Samuel Beckett a technologie (2021).

Adar vystudoval bakalářský obor srovnávací literatura a filozofie a magisterský obor anglická literatura a amerikanistika na univerzitě v Tel Avivu. Mezi její badatelské zájmy patří Samuel Beckett, Flann O'Brien, irský modernismus a filozofie.

Více než dvacet let pracuje Joanna jako výzkumná pracovnice, učitelka a administrátorka. Na AAU je zodpovědná za správu kanceláře prorektora pro akademické záležitosti, což zahrnuje přípravu předpisů a dokumentů vydávaných prorektorem, spolupráci s ostatními odděleními a správu akreditační agendy.

Joanna dělí svůj volný čas mezi rodinu a drobné akademické projekty týkající se středověkých dějin.

Významný docent na Anglo-americké univerzitě a profesor anglické a americké literatury a ředitel Centra irských studií na Univerzitě Karlově v Praze. Překládá hry J. M. Syngeho, Briana Friela, Martina McDonagha, Endy Walshe a Marka O'Rowea a román Flanna O'Briena. Třetí policista. V minulosti byl předsedou Mezinárodní asociace pro studium irské literatury a bývalým místopředsedou Evropské federace asociací a center irských studií.

Anthony Marais se specializuje na akademické a tvůrčí psaní. Po absolvování Kalifornské univerzity v Berkeley, kde získal bakalářský titul v oboru antropologie, pokračoval ve vzdělávání v Kanadě na Simon Fraser University v Britské Kolumbii, kde se zaměřil na polynéskou archeologii. Studoval jazyky a dějiny umění v Paříži a od roku 1995 žije v Německu, kde během této doby začal publikovat romány a pracovat jako scenárista.

Pavla Jonssonová získala doktorát na Univerzitě Karlově a od roku 2001 vyučuje na Anglo-americké univerzitě, kde se specializuje na gender, subkultury a mediální reprezentaci. Mezi její publikace patří tři monografie Women, Music, Creativity including: Hildegarda; Cosey Fanni Tutti v angličtině; Devět z české hudební alternativy osmdesátých let (anglická verze v jednání); Růžové vrány. Muzikantky 21. Století (Rozhovory s dvaceti českými hudebnicemi); a řada článků, rozhovorů, básní a překladů. Od roku 1980 se věnuje autorské hudbě jako zakládající členka ženské rockové skupiny Zuby nehty, která má na svém kontě deset alb, básnické sbírky a film pro Českou televizi. Kapela je stále aktivní. Je také členkou občanského sdružení Loutky v nemocnicích, které hraje pro nemocné děti.

Giarelli is a literature scholar, journalist, and senior lecturer in literature and journalism at AAU. Additionally, he teaches in the Comparative Literature department at the University of Vienna and is a regular guest lecturer in the Department of English Philology at Ivan Franko University in Lviv, Ukraine. He taught previously at New York University, Utah State University, and Portland State University. Giarelli has twice been a senior Fulbright lecturer (Malta 1993, Slovakia 2011). He was AAU Teacher of the Year in the School of Journalism in 2015-16 and 2016-17, and in the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences in 2022-23.

His book of nonfiction reportage, Země mezi nimi: Cesta po střední Evropě (danzig & unfried) was published in 2025. His recent journalism articles have appeared in Reflex.cz, Euractiv.cz, a Slovenský divák, zatímco jeho román, Mluvící sochy, was published in 2021.
